God's timing

Guess what? GOD'S TIMING IS ALWAYS PERFECT. After months of self-improvement.. Months of Netflix.. Months of KDramas..  After waiting for almost a year, Anju got hired finally! He was interviewed before my birthday. That week, to be honest, I was feeling excited. It felt like something good is about to happen. Then after 2 weeks, Anju got a call and it was an urgent position. Without any doubts, he immediately went out to take a rapid test because it was required by the company. It's not a work from home job unlike me, but it is better than nothing, eh? This is a great news indeed! He got a job before Christmas! We can start saving again for our future.  This year may not be the best year for us, but there are still a lot of things to be thankful for, right? Who knows, maybe next year will be our year?  Keep safe, Kreng xx

GRATITUDE

Yesterday, Mama (Bebu's mother) surprised me with a gift. At first, I didn't (couldn't) believe that this bag was for me. To be honest, I am not used to receiving gifts because I'm always the one that gives gifts. I felt emotional. I had this huge clump in my chest and I just had to let go. So tears started falling. BUT these are not tears of pain, rather TEARS OF JOY. I know it's just a bag, but when I receive a gift, I am that person who'll be sentimental and treasure it for years. This year, I decided to lessen my expectations or anything. Is it just me or it is because I'm getting older? Lol. I celebrated my birthday weekend with nothing fancy, but with my good friends.   Love the color! 2020 is full of ups and downs for me. First months of the year were my lowest points in my life, but at the mid of the year, I was able to have a nice job. With a lot of negative events happened all throughout the year, I am still thankful for a lot things. I'm thank...

Humans by Nature (Tips to Deal with Depression)

Today is a rainy day and I feel like writing. How's your day? It's a bed weather kind of day. Gaash, it was hard to get up this morning because it was still dark and cold. All I want is just to snuggle under the sheets and hug Bebu. harottt! 2 more days and we will be celebrating our 9th anniversary!! Yahoooo!! If Covid didn't happen, probably we're spending our anniversary somewhere nice, order something expensive or travel outside the country. Hayyyy. Last year, we spent our anniversary roaming the streets of Shanghai! Can't wait to make more memories and experience the world with Anju!!! #TeamAnjuKrengForTheWin ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My great uncle once said to me that by nature, people are sad and quiet. Happiness is just an abnormality to us humans. Not everyday we are feeling happy. Mostly we're just feeling fine - which is normal. What's not normal is smiling without reasons - that mak...

Epic Zoom Meeting

Something happened today at work. So while we were having our daily catch-up meeting, suddenly I heard "TAHOOOOOOOOOO" a taho vendor (in the background) passed by from one of my officemates (background). I couldn't stop myself. I didn't know how to hide my laughter. Then, our boss shouted "Why are you laughing, Corina?" I was really shocked because based from the tone of her voice, I thought she was mad. I also couldn't explain myself clearly because I was still laughing. After coming into my senses, I was quite defensive and explained my reason because it felt like I disrespected my boss. Thank goodness, my officemates also laughed with me and saved me from that situation. Then, my boss also shared that she had an experience making soymilk from real soya beans. Phewww!!!! I was able to get away on that embarrassing moment. That was almost late morning, so I didn't expect that there would still be selling taho during that time. We were able to record...

Mistakes

How are you? I'm fine, but I'm also not happy. You feel me? Tonight I decided to write after a month of not posting.  I want to refrain myself from overthinking. Blogging helps me relax and feel better. Guess what, 2-3 weeks ago, my laptop had a virus (ransomware). That weekend, I decided to start designing our future home, so I wanted to upgrade my softwares. That's when I accidentally downloaded the virus. Sadly, Anju couldn't recover my files and some of our travel photos. He reformatted my laptop and as for me, I didn't think much of those files and moved on. We will just have to create new memories on our future travels after this pandemic. ;) =============================================== Today at work, I made an honest mistake and I felt frustrated. I was able to defend my part, but at the end of the session, I still apologized and said that I will note on my mistake. Maybe partly because I stayed up late last night, credits to KDrama's Cheese In The Tra...

Day Off!

Image
Today is Saturday and if you don't know, it's also my day off until tomorrow. During weekends, I get bored, just doing my laundry, playing Tongits on my mobile phone and sometimes, watching movies or even series. So today I thought of blogging. Last weekend, I finished the latest season of Lucifer!! Okay, that's not the topic for this blog (just sharing). Hahaha. As a goal-oriented person, I hate doing nothing. I hate not getting things done for real.  I have thought of downloading the next week's jobs/projects and finish them during my rest day to be productive. BUT. There's a but! That would be against the Work-Life Balance principle. The thing is.. every time I give all of my efforts on a certain scope/work/person/group (kahit ano pa yan) , the side effect is most likely, I will burn myself out. Do you get me? You feel me? As much as possible, I'm trying my best to make this work from home setup separate from my personal time. How about you? How do you spend ...

Hello, It's my third week at work. So far, so good. To tell you honestly, my training took only a day. I didn't expect that I could easily learn the process, but of course, there are still bad days. (Mostly good days) I am really thankful for having a job right now and I will do my very best for my regularization. hehe Change topic! Since I became busy with work, my daily routine had changed. Waking up time is 6:30 in the morning, then sleeping time is around 10 in the evening. But also, I still do my workouts Mon-Fri at 5 in the afternoon to release stress, to boost happy hormones and my immune system. After dinner, either I play Tongits Go/Hustle Castle or I watch Netflix. :) Finished season 3 of Netflix's Good Girls, one of my faves! Always a good laugh when I'm watching this. Highly recommended! You should watch it!! After this, back again with KDrama. I started watching Oh My Ghost. It's almost three weeks since I came home. I miss my family so much. For the pa...

DELAYED BLESSINGS

Image
Today is Friday and I survived my first week at work!! YIHEEEEE!!! This is why I decided to write a post about delayed blessings. I waited for so long just to be in the line of work I am right now.  I couldn't count how many applications I submitted for the past 2 years.  I can't tell you the details, but I really believe I landed the suitable job for me at last! God's timing is really right in time. You just know that He is guiding you because you will feel His presence. Delays are not denials. There are God's reasons behind everything. Just trust Him! WHY GOD DELAYS : God delays because his ways are not your ways. God delays so you can demonstrate your faith. God delays so he can bless your waiting. God delays so he can be glorified in the end. Credits to:  https://godscareerguide.com/4-reasons-why-god-delays/ I am writing this because I want to inspire you and try to deal with your thoughts. Mostly thoughts on things that you are not in control of. I know it's ea...

What is SUCCESS?

I believe that we do differ in terms of our definition of success.  According to a great friend of mine, money is not equal to but is correlated to success in the general public's eye. This is a very sad truth. Like for this example, you are a licensed professional, and yet you do not have any projects at the moment or any source of income. The other one is, maybe she didn't finish college, but she has a stable job and income. People tend to consider her much more successful than you (a licensed one). Do you get what I am saying?  My definition of success is categorized into 3 items: First, in terms of our personal health. Second, in terms of our career. Lastly, in terms of our financial status. Let's talk about success in terms of personal health. I can say that I should consider myself a successful person if I am healthy in all aspects from physical to psychological. With that, obviously, I should have a peace in mind. (But unfortunately, I don't have that right now l...

GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME

Image
Hi, how are you? Remember my last post ? "Guess what? After consecutive losses, today, I tried again. I won't disclose anything sure yet. One thing I'm sure of, I have to trust Him and his plans." Here's a recap of what happened for the past days. I was crying the whole Sunday and I didn't know what to do because I was really losing hope and my mind was clouded with doubts. I didn't exert full effort this time unlike the last time, because I don't want to keep my hopes up. Then, Monday, I was feeling a little better. I didn't think that I would pass the initial interview. Basta bahala na parang ganon. What a surprise! Because I received a text message that I was shortlisted for the final interview. Things escalated quickly. Before the final interview, they told me that I already secured the position but st ill I was not complacent and did my best in answering the client. And so, during the interview proper, to be honest, I had a hard time answering...
