What is SUCCESS?
I believe that we do differ in terms of our definition of success.
According to a great friend of mine, money is not equal to but is correlated to success in the general public's eye. This is a very sad truth. Like for this example, you are a licensed professional, and yet you do not have any projects at the moment or any source of income. The other one is, maybe she didn't finish college, but she has a stable job and income. People tend to consider her much more successful than you (a licensed one). Do you get what I am saying?
My definition of success is categorized into 3 items: First, in terms of our personal health. Second, in terms of our career. Lastly, in terms of our financial status. Let's talk about success in terms of personal health. I can say that I should consider myself a successful person if I am healthy in all aspects from physical to psychological. With that, obviously, I should have a peace in mind. (But unfortunately, I don't have that right now lol) For the second category which is career, this is about our attainment of planned goals and visions. An example is if you built or bought your dream house, I think that would be considered as success. Again, meaning of success differs to everyone. The last category is about finance. If you have savings (including the emergency fund), you can buy things that you want, you are debt-free, and you have a stable source of income, then that defines you a successful person.
How about you? Do you agree with me? Or not? Hahaha!
This topic just emerged from a group chat with my friends and I thought that it would be nice to share this on my blog.
