What Happened In May
Hi, how are you?
It has been a month since I opened my laptop, and same with my blog.
During the last week of April, we thought that it was time to go home already and so I had to figure out how to pass the checkpoints from Capas, Tarlac to Mexico, Pampanga. I searched online and most of them said I would need a travel pass. Luckily, I have a good friend working in the municipal office and I requested one through his assistance. Then, last May 2, I finally decided to go home after being stucked for 2 months in Tarlac.
May 2 - I couldn't stop myself from crying because I felt really sad that I had to go and be apart with my Bebu for the mean time.
My drive to Pampanga was just almost an hour because there was no traffic. I really prepared myself in order to face all the 3 checkpoints. Thank God for they considered my travel pass and allowed me to pass through.
The expressway was clean, unlike before the pandemic happened.
May 3 - Happy to be with my family. We are complete at last and we are in our real house! Sundays are meant to be spent with the family, and after a very long time, this has been a tradition again because of this quarantine (Good thing, I guess). To be honest, I don't want Sundays to end. Still hoping that one day, I can finally say I'm home.
May 10 - Mother's day celebration. Complete family!
We were all in the attic. This was our tradition way back in the good old days.
May 11 - Unexpected video call session with PF.
May 15 - Every day virtual lunch with Bebu.
May 16 - Soju night with my sister, Cza. We finished one bottle each and we ended up laughing. lol
May 17 - Complete family again. Yaaas! We are getting used to it again. Haiiiist!
May 19 - We applied hair color on each other's hair after completing our workout.
May 20 - For the weekdays, we still make sure to do our workout session no matter what time it is.
Zoom session with MMMM.
May 21 - Decided to go out due to my personal errands. I was with my dad and he was the one driving because I didn't have quarantine pass. It was not comfortable wearing a mask as a new normal to be honest, but doing so is much better than getting the virus.
May 22 - My new exercise mat already came after 17 days. Excited to use this one! Thanks Lazada!
May 23 - It was my first time to sleep in our real house after 4 freaking years!! Dinner wouldn't be complete without samgyupsal!! Thanks to our Tito Ranie and Tita Leni for bringing pork belly, enoki mushroom, kimchi, and other side dishes. This night was filled with laughter, unendless stories, and KARAOKE!! Capping off the night, we watched a movie together in the attic until one by one fell asleep.
May 24 - Incomplete Sunday, missing Cath, Ren, and Anju. I don't know if you haven't noticed that every Sunday, we use banana leaves instead of plates, we just do the eating and not the dishwashing because that would use a lot of plates if ever. Hahahaha. We just have to remove these used leaves and wipe the table. lol
May 27 - Another PF session. We tried Messenger, Viber, etc., but ended up using Zoom. Despite of our different ways of coping with this quarantine, we still managed to catch up with the girls.
Also, I tried sketching again and applying it with watercolor. In fact, I'm not really a pro with this media and this is my weakness, but I want to improve. The last time I used my watercolor was during college. lol. I haven't finished this one yet, maybe next time, depends on my mood.
May 29 - My sister, Nhyn, invited me for a soju night and I couldn't say no. So I joined her and we finished 3 bottles. Around 12 midnight, we still had to take a bath because we had our workout session before drinking. lol. My dad and my another sister, Cath, were shooshing at us. Gaash, we tried our best not to make a sound nor laugh out of the silly things, because almost everybody was already deep in their sleeps. Can you imagine us? Hahaha! I will treasure this rare moment, and so glad we bonded as sisters despite our 11-year age gap.
May 30-31 - Another salu-salo! Thanks to Tito Ranie and Tita Leni for the marinated pork ribs, and pesto pasta. They also bought a few bottles of soju. After dinner, we played In-Between with the use of cards. We were laughing loudly and couldn't contain so much happiness. Another good day indeed!
So these were all the happy days that happened in May! What a month full of bliss, good days and happy memories! My mindset somehow changed. Instead of focusing on our problems, why not focus on our blessings. That's why I wrote this post. Try it also! You will feel being enlightened!
===================================================
On June 1, Pampanga was already declared as GCQ. So the next day, I decided to give it a try and risk myself to travel from Pampanga to Tarlac. Tadaaa! I made it! The Bebus reunited once again! Yaaaas!! Of course, I followed all the safety measures to make sure that I didn't bring the virus with me if ever.
Home is where you are, Bebu
Reminder: Don't forget to wear masks when going out. Keep safe and stay healthy! We will survive this pandemic. AJA!
