Blogging Challenge Day 22 : My Worst Habits
Hello guys! Last 8 days of this challenge!
So on my 14th Day of Blogging Challenge which was my Healthy Habits, today I'm doing the opposite. All about my 5 Worst Habits. As I open my laptop, I had a hard time on thinking through this one, because aside from the fact that news are all over the social media. Philippines has now reached 501 confirmed cases of Covid-19. Our frontliners are one by one being exposed to the deadly virus. And here we are, ranting, complaining that we are all stuck at home, bored and whatsoever while the others are suffering, thinking of what they will feed to their families for tonight and the coming weeks. I believe what's happening is very overwhelming to all of us, but, by staying at home, it would really be a great contribution right now.
So here's my worst habits:
Staying up late - I mean, until the sun slightly appears. But this isn't mostly every night. It was just those nights that I couldn't really sleep even though waiting for hours with my eyes closed. One fact is that I'm not used to be in bed by 8 in the evening. If ever I'm working, when the time I come home, either I have my dinner, or do my stack of laundry, then watch a movie or so, until I fall asleep around midnight.
Skipping breakfast - Yeah, I'm that type of person who skips breakfast, and more actually a "brunch" person. This is because of two reasons: one, I'm not a morning person, and two, I started intermittent fasting since the last quarter of 2019. I know that there are a lot of health advices, like for example, breakfast is everything, and it is the most important meal of the day. Gaash, for heaven's sake, for me, I think whatever might be good for you, might not good for me, or vice versa. Hehe. We are all just different, no?
Procrastination - is my best friend! Haha, kidding! In the Architecture industry, we need a lot of ideas and concepts to get the projects going, but these wonderful ideas are just surfacing up when we are procrastinating. For me, leaving things to the last minute, works for me but I'm really trying my best to avoid doing rushing. On this one, I just make sure by making a list of things that needs to be done so that I'm prepared anytime. Defensive ha? lol
"BAHALA NA" attitude - Guilty as charged. It's a fact that this attitude is present to every Filipino. It is being determined in a challenging situation where it will probably be risky, but if you have read other articles about this phrase, you will know the etymology of this one. For this phrase, it's about deciding without even considering the outcome. That's why I also considered it as a worst habit, but you might consider it on the positive side when you need encouragement to deal with tough situations in life. Think of it as "Let go, and Let God."
Overthinking - Aside from procrastination, I'm buddies with overthinking. I know that excessive worrying is not good for our health. It's just really difficult to stop overthinking. What ifs. Whys. I remember this conversation with my friend, and he said that women are the only ones who always think of the what ifs in every situation. Ha that was sexist, but that was kind of true. I'm not a psychologist, okay? But it's in the nature of females to overthink. One way to refrain myself to worry excessively is get yourself busy. Find a hobby that will make you occupied and also happy. Be a man or woman of action. Oha!
*Phew* That was quite hard to admit!
If you're also into writing, I would love to know your list!
Thank you for sticking up with me. Hence, if you have suggestions, just comment down below. Let's be productive during this lockdown guys.
Take care and Kbye,
Kreng
