Blogging Challenge Day 16 : Thoughts on Education
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela
It's a humid, summer afternoon, and here am I writing about my thoughts on education, while the world is suffering from the pandemic COVID-19.
Education is very important for us human beings because aside from the reason that education is one key to success (yeah, one key, because you will also need the right attitude to overcome some setbacks or failures prior to obtaining success and a lot more) and it will also teach you to inner freedom. These are just some of the reasons why we should value Education.
When I was still a little girl, I never understood why I should finish and get a college degree. I just did my best in every class, and enjoyed acquainting with my classmates because that was what my parents told me so. Growing up, I felt like I didn't have a choice but to finish studying no matter what happens. But every year, I've understood little by little the importance of Education. People say that once you've finished college, life will get easier. You will get a job easier and you will get your hard-earned money. Honey, it doesn't. Once you've finished college, you will face the sad truth of reality. You will print a lot of resumes, handover to a lot of companies (companies that look for experience though you've just graduated). If ever you've decided to take up a course with a licensure exam afterwards, this doesn't guarantee you that you will land a good-paying job. Well, this is reality and we just have to cope with it. Be tough and just do your best!
Hmmm, I think my blog just went rogue. Instead of focusing on education, I ranted more on life after college. Ha ha ha. But kids, you gotta finish studying and obtain that degree or maybe a license. Though life is hard, getting a degree has a lot of benefits compared to those who haven't studied. Besides, we have different definitions on what success is. Either a temporary or a lasting success (I have a blog draft about this one).
It's up to you on how you will live your life a meaningful one.
Cheers! Be safe! Be healthy!
