Blogging Challenge Day 7 : Your 5 Favourite Songs

5 Favourite Songs

Here are just some of my favourites. 

1. Kodaline's The One

The first time I heard this song was in Jung's birthday video for his girlfriend, Kimmy. After discovering the title of that song, I listened to it on Spotify on repeat. Months passed by, I fell in love with Kodaline since 2018. 

Suddenly, Kodaline had their concert in Manila last February 2019. 

Of course, together with Anjubby and Dape, we didn't miss that chance. We bought VIP tickets amounting to not more than PHP 5,000.

It was our first time together to watch a concert live.

After Steve, the lead singer, sang the first few lines, my tears were already falling. I felt overwhelmed. I couldn't contain the happiness inside me. 

Watching Kodaline play The One for the first time together with my Bebu. 💓💓💓 One of the best days in my life that I will surely treasure.

2. Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap

Anju and I, love to play random playlists. Then, this song played randomly. We agreed that it sounded like this song was the perfect song for a same-day-edit video for our wedding. We have so much in mind on how it will go (lol). One scene we've imagined is that we are running together in a field. hehe

I don't know if this is okay, but I want to share a little secret with you. Every time we are feeling down and experience a problem, we will just slow dance to this song to remind us that we will overcome our struggles. And the day that we are all waiting for will come, I will be walking on the aisle with my simple white dress, looking at Anju with his priceless smile. AHHHHHHH! Be strong, Bebu. As I am writing this and imagining that scene, this motivates me. huhu

3. As long as I have you I'm home by Imaginary Future

I remember there was this time I had a breakdown last July 2018, and this was one of the songs that helped me calm myself.

"I don't care where the hours go
I can live in the great unknown

As long as I have you, I'm home"


I believe that home is not a place, rather, home is a person.

4. Araw-Araw by Ben&Ben

"Mahiwaga
Pipiliin ka sa araw-araw"

With this line from the song, I agree that if you love someone, you will keep on choosing him/her every day no matter what. Despite of the flaws and imperfections of your loved ones, you chose to accept and love them. And I think that is one of the wonders of LOVE.


5. Forever on your side by Imaginary Future, ft. Kina Grannis

I dedicate this song to:

Anju, my long-term partner
My parents
My sisters and brother
My truest friends

"No matter where we are,
Whether you're near or far,
I'll be forever on your side."

I may not be with you personally all the time, but once you have touched my life, you will be forever in my heart.
